The "Red Star" train, left rusting in an old train repair depot in Hungary. It was removed a few years ago; who took it and where it is now remains a mystery!

It is a MAV-424 Series steam locomotive, a well-known and nostalgic Hungarian machine. These double-chimneyed beasts were often nicknamed “The Buffalo”.

This specific engine was built in the 1940s. Some sources suggest it was in service until 1991.

Windows at the 1,238-room Sheraton Downtown Denver Hotel, originally designed by I.M. Pei in 1960 as the Denver Hilton.

This window pattern covers 16 of the hotel's 22 floors and, at 130 windows per floor, results in a perfect 16 x 130 grid of 2,080 windows on the hotel's northwest façade. This photo captures approximately 5% of that grid.

Continuing the stage theme today!
On the right is the first brick-built Roman Amphitheatre which dates back to about 80 C.E and on the left is part of the old Coin shop (upholstery, homeware etc.) - All housed in the same building!
It had been abandoned/in renovation for over 20 years but just recently enough they have started giving tours again. ✨

This four-storey complex was built in the 1820s as a seminary. It later served as a convalescent home for 8,000 Belgian soldiers in WWI and a civilian shelter during WWII.

After decades as a retirement home, it closed at the turn of the 21st century.
